New beyondblue chief executive

After stints as head of the AGPN and as chief minister of the ACT, Kate Carnell has been made CEO of beyonblue. The announcement last week follows months of controversy surrounding the organisation, including bullying accusations levelled at its chairman Jeff Kennett. Ms Carnell, a pharmacist by training, has resigned from her role as CEO of the Australian Food and Grocery Council to take up the position at the not-for-profit organisation where she has been a director since 2008.  Eminent GP, Professor Michael Kidd, also recently became director on its board.
